Abducted Delta prophet released after N10million ransom

Abducted Delta State clergy, Prophet Jay Jay Enejeta – General Overseer of Faith Fasting and Prayer Ministry in Abraka, Ethiope East Local Government Area, has been released by his abductors after two days in their den.

The PUNCH quoting security sources reported that the cleric regained freedom on Saturday evening at Samagidi community after the payment of N10 million ransom.

According to reports, the clergyman was whisked away by the kidnappers who were suspected to be Fulani herdsman last Thursday night while returning home after a church programme.

Sadly, his wife, Pastor Ruth Enejeta lost her life after she was hit by bullets in her head and neck as the assailants shot indiscriminately at their Lexus jeep during the kidnap operation.

The cleric who was also hit by a bullet in his hand has since been hospitalized at an undisclosed hospital in Eku where he is presently recuperating.

The publication added that the clergyman’s release was confirmed by the police public relations officer (PPRO) for Delta State Police Command, DSP Bright Edafe.
