Nigeria’s First Lady, Aisha Buhari seems to be hugging the headlines for more negative than positive reasons these days.

Shortly after the announcement (accompanied with some pictures) that she was heading to Brussels to deliver an opening remark on Women’s Role In Global Security, some Nigerians have quickly made an estimate or how much her cape cost and the result is that it costs a whooping N1.2million ($2,600).

The multicoloured cape from designer Salvatore Ferragamo was placed side by side with her outfit and they matched perfectly.

Nigerians are livid that at a time when it is difficult for a lay man to get three square meals adequately, the president’s wife could still boast of such an expensive outfit.

But some are also of the opinion that those behind the costing and presentation of the outfit are unfair with their presentations as they don’t totally represent the true state of things.
