Nigerians on Twitter have criticised the Director of Media for the Buhari Campaign Organisation, Festus Keyamo, for using a “false” image to make comparisons between the past People’s Democratic Party-led government and the ruling All Progressive Congress.
This is coming after Keyamo shared a photo of an abandoned railway to prove that the “PDP government swallowed all the money but never completed” major projects.
“This is how trees grew in-between rail tracks between 1999 and 2015.
“Those were the years of ‘Initiation and Started’, when they swallowed all the money but never completed.
“Now, this is the ‘Completion Era’ as the tracks are beginning to roar back to life, Keyamo wrote.
However, Twitterati were quick to notice that the abandoned railway is an online photo and originally from the middle east.

Many called him out for using a non-Nigerian image to prove a point and malign the opposition party.
Some also reminded him of how he had lambasted President Buhari in the past and shared screenshots of the defamatory statements he had once said about his principal.
Meanwhile, some Twitter users came to Keyamo’s defence and said that the PDP led government emptied the nation’s treasury.
One Oladeji Olalekan,@Princeola82 tweeted;
“Conception, strategizing and construction are the most important dimensions of any human endeavor. Whoever is boasting of what others have done is half witty. Meanwhile, are you still a FOOL going by your interview with @SaharaReporters early this year?
“Mr. Festus cropped the picture online to represent situation in Nigeria. This reflects a criminal mind! Help Festus before he squanders little honour he may have with people who don’t know him but ignorantly admiring him from distance!”
One @farooqkperogi
“Buhari’s media aides steal photos from d Net & pass them off as Buhari’s work.
“APC officially does d same. @fkeyamo, Buhari’s campaign spokesman, has caught the bug.
“He also stole a photo from the Middle East, passed it off as being from Nigeria and deployed it to tell a lie.”
However in a recent tweet by the Senior Advocate of Nigeria, he said that the image he used was just an illustration to buttresses his point.
He further said that some people were either trying to be mischevious or struggling to understand his English.

The tweet reads;
“For those who’re struggling with the English language or who are deliberately mischievous, my reference to the image below?was nothing but an ILLUSTRATION of my point.
“Hence my carefully worded tweet ‘this is how trees…
“I never referred to it as a tree at a particular site.”

Festus, you dey lie now shamelessly. At least have the decency to admit the revamping of the railway lines was the initiative of GEJ, not your paymaster’s as you claim.

Did he mention GEJ? Or PDP’s 16 years?

I never said past administrations did very well. However, the present administration has done worse and adds salt to injury by allocating very little to education, thereby showing it cares very little for the sector.
