A former vice president of Nigeria, Abubakar Atiku, on Tuesday stormed Osun State ahead of the governorship election rerun holding on Thursday.

Atiku, a People’s Democratic Party chieftain and presidential hopeful, held a Town Hall meeting in the state to canvass for voters support for PDP governorship candidate Ademola Adeleke.
Adeleke and Isiaka Goyega Oyetola will battle for Aregebesola’s seat in seven polling units after the Independent National Electoral Commission deemed the governorship election held across the state on Saturday inconclusive.

Elections in the said polling units were cancelled due to various anti-free and fair election practices.
