2019 AFCON QUALIFIER! Libya to host Super Eagles in Algeria
Libya Football Federation has said that their senior national team, will host Nigeria at a yet to be named venue in Algeria, in their 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying Match Day 4 clash on October 13.
Adel Al-Khumisi, the managing director of the Libyan national team, revealed the decision of the LFF in a press statement on Monday.
Libya currently occupies the top spot in Group E after a win and draw, in their opening two games against Seychelles and South Africa.
Their next game is an away fixture against third-placed Nigeria on October 10 with the reverse fixture to take place three days later in Algeria.
Libya has played their home games at neutral venues over the last five years, because of a FIFA ban imposed on the country after the civil war of 2011.
They played their first game of the qualifiers at the Petro Sports Stadium in Cairo, where they defeated Seychelles 5-1.
