A woman, Smangele Pearl, has reportedly died from injuries she sustained after her boyfriend bathed her with kerosene and set her on fire.
Smangele was rushed to the hospital where she battled for her life before finally giving up the ghost.
The suspect, identified as Nkosana Prince Mthombeni, has reportedly been arrested by the police.

The incident happened in South Africa.
The deceased’s brother, Sipho Christian, disclosed the incident on his Facebook timeline.
He wrote
This lady right here is my little sister, Smangele and a few days ago she was admitted to hospital because this coward guy in the picture Nkosana Sipho Prince Mthombeni poured paraffin on her and set her on fire.
Today at 2am Smangele Pearl Kholeka Mnisi Mahlangu died in hospital after suffering huge amounts of agony. Nkosana will have the Lord deal with him and I hope he rots in jail for life… RIP Smangele mnisi you’re loved.
WuzupNaija recalls that in June 2018, a 13-year-old boy, Obioma Odum, died after his mother, Chinyere Odum, was said to have bathed him with kerosene and set him ablaze. The incident was said to have occurred at Umuloghe Agbolughe, in Amuzukwu, Umuahia, Abia State.

It was gathered that Chinyere, who accused her son of stealing her phone’s memory card, together with her unnamed friend, initially tied him with a rope and gave him many strokes of the cane.
An eyewitness said the two women later dragged the boy into the kitchen and set him ablaze to make him confess.
In Niger, one Baba Mohammed from Edo Baba village in the Lavum Local Government Area of the state allegedly set his neighbour ablaze.
The 45-year-old man reportedly killed Usman Tetengi for wooing his fiancée.
It was learnt that the suspect had asked the victim to stop courting the woman he proposed to marry, but Tetengi reportedly failed to heed the warning.
Mohammed allegedly drenched his victim with three litres of petrol before setting him ablaze.
