WIZKID HAS MORE LIKES ON HIS POSTS! Davido accused of buying Instagram followers
With over 7.1m followers on Instagram, Davido is now the most followed Nigerian on the trendy social media platform.
Other popular music stars like Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Yemi Alde, Tekno, Falz TheBahdGuy, Adekunle Gold and the likes are still behind the “OBO.”
Not to mention some Nollywood actress like Funke Akindele, Genevieve Nnaji, Mercy Aigbe, who also have an impressive number of loyal followers on their Instagram pages.

However, two Instagram users, @kinglucyy and @amarabiish, have aired their opinion over the questionable number of Davido’s followers on his social media platform.
They insinuated that most of Davido’s followers might have been fake or cloned followers instead of real people.
According to them your number of followers should be proportional to the number of likes and comments on every post.
@kinglucyy claims he counted the number of likes of one of Davido’s post which saw over a thousand in five minutes but after his manual counting, it was actually 217 likes and not 1000 as stated.

@kinglucyy wrote;
“Truth is Davido has 7M followers and Wizkid has 5.6M followers but Wizkid has more likes on his posts than Davido. Now listen to this: One-day Davido posted a picture and within 5 minutes it had 1000 comments, a friend of mine counted and it was exactly 217 at that moment, he told Davido about it.
“And immediately he told him Davido blocked him.” His argument is that, with Davido having almost 1.5 million more followers than Wizkid, his posts should get more responses and not the other way round.
“It is a common knowledge that entertainers and brand influencers buy followers to boost their status.
“But it is inconceivable that someone of Davido’s popularity would toe that line.”
However, another Instagram user @thickerbody-9ja responded to @kinglucyy’s claims. Defending Davido, she said;
“Wizkid doesn’t post often, so each time he posts, he is sure to get more engagements than Davido.
“Because Davido posts almost every day, most of his followers may not care to like or comment sometimes.
“Social media pages work differently for everyone.
“Davido does not need to buy followers. He didn’t buy followers. Instagram is designed to favour celebs more thorough verification of their accounts and suggestions to users.”
