President Bola Tinubu has celebrated First Lady Oluremi Tinubu on her 66th birthday, describing her as his “truest friend and confidante” and praising her support through different stages of their life together. Indeed, the occasion of Oluremi Tinubu 66 marks a significant milestone for their family.
According to a birthday tribute shared on Tinubu’s verified X handle on Monday, the President praised his wife’s patience, courage, compassion and willingness to offer honest counsel even during difficult moments.
“Today, I celebrate the woman who has walked beside me with patience, grace and uncommon courage. Àwọn àgbà sọ pé, ‘Ìyàwó rere ni adé ọkọ rẹ̀.’ A good wife is her husband’s crown,” Tinubu said, acknowledging Oluremi Tinubu 66 and her impact on his journey.
Tinubu praises wife’s support
The President said Oluremi had remained a source of strength to him, sharing his burdens and providing comfort when circumstances were uncertain.
“The burdens that were mine to bear often found their way onto your shoulders. The thoughts I could not put into words somehow found their way to you,” he said.
“In difficult times, when the future was uncertain, you stayed calm beside me and prayed with me.”
Tinubu said he regarded the First Lady as his closest friend because of her willingness to tell him the truth regardless of whether he wanted to hear it.
“I call you my truest friend and confidante because you speak the truth plainly, even on the days I would rather not hear it,” he said.
President celebrates Oluremi’s humanitarian work
Tinubu also praised his wife’s contribution to their family, saying their children and grandchildren had grown under the influence of her faith, prayers and kindness. Remarkably, Oluremi Tinubu 66 continues to inspire her family and community.
He highlighted her humanitarian activities through the New Era Foundation and the Renewed Hope Initiative, noting that the programmes had supported young people, widows, older citizens and women farmers.
“Nigerians know you for your compassion, kindness, generosity of spirit and steadfast faith,” Tinubu said. In addition, Oluremi Tinubu 66 has become synonymous with service and philanthropy.
“I have watched you touch lives quietly and consistently, offering hope and support to those in need.”
He also acknowledged her advocacy for people affected by tuberculosis and other diseases, saying her compassion had never been restricted by ethnicity, religion or region.
Tinubu says he would choose Oluremi again
Reflecting on their years together, the President said difficult decisions, unseen sacrifices, laughter and prayer had strengthened their relationship.
“A long journey teaches a man the true value of a good partner. We have travelled a long road together,” he said.
Tinubu added that if he had another opportunity to live his life again, he would still choose the path that led him to Oluremi.
“If life returned me to the beginning, I would choose the same road that led me to you. Through every mile, my heart has always remained at home with you,” he said.
He wished the First Lady more years of good health and happiness.
“Happy 66th birthday, my darling Oluremi. I pray that God Almighty will grant you many more years in good health and joy,” Tinubu said.
