Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has exercised his franchise at Ward 02, Abogunde Sagba, in Ede North Local Government Area of the state.
Adeleke arrived at the polling unit at about 8:10 am on Saturday and proceeded to cast his ballot.
The governor is seeking another term in office on the platform of the Accord Party, following his defection from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, under which he won the governorship election in 2022.
A total of 15 political parties are taking part in the governorship election.
However, two of the 15 candidates, Adesina Adeyemi-Doro of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, and Simon Adewale of the Allied Peoples Movement, APM, had earlier withdrawn from the race.
Adeleke, who is an uncle to Afrobeats superstar Davido, is contesting against candidates representing the All Progressives Congress, APC, the African Democratic Congress, ADC, the People Redemption Party, PRP, among other parties.
