DESPITE NYSC CERTIFICATE SCANDAL! Kemi Adeosun bags new post at Afreximbank
The Nigerian Finance minister, Kemi Adeosun, was elected during the annual general meeting of the African Export-Import Bank in Abuja.
Adeosun will be succeeding the outgoing chairman of the Bank and Minister of Finance of the Republic of Rwanda, Ndagijimana Uzziel.
The position has a one-year tenure.
Mrs Adeosun’s election is coming amid a certificate forgery scandal she has been enmeshed in. An online medium, Premium Times, had in an investigative report accused the minister of forging her NYSC exemption certificate.
The NYSC had in a statement said Adeosun applied for an exemption years after she graduated from the university, but it does not issue exemption certifcates to those who graduate at ages below 30 years.
