Global music star Beyoncé has officially joined the billionaire club after her bold move into country music delivered the most successful tour in the genre’s history and pushed her personal fortune past the one-billion-dollar mark.

According to Forbes, the 44-year-old singer became a billionaire in 2025 following the massive success of her Cowboy Carter album and tour, according to Forbes. She is now one of only five musicians to reach billionaire status, joining Jay-Z, Taylor Swift, Bruce Springsteen and Rihanna.

Before this latest milestone, Beyoncé had already enjoyed huge success with the Renaissance World Tour in 2023. The three-hour concert, which celebrated her full music career, grossed close to $600 million and ranked as one of the biggest tours of the year.

However, she went even further in 2024 when she surprised fans by releasing Cowboy Carter, a country album that opened up new commercial opportunities and led to the highest-grossing country concert tour ever in 2025.

The Cowboy Carter Tour featured 32 shows across nine stadiums in the United States and Europe. According to Pollstar, the tour earned over $400 million in ticket sales, while Forbes estimates another $50 million came from merchandise sold at the venues.

Because Beyoncé’s company, Parkwood Entertainment, handled most of the production, she was able to keep higher profits from the tour.

Parkwood Entertainment was founded by Beyoncé in 2010 after she stopped being managed by her father. The company controls her music, tours, documentaries and business deals.

“When I decided to manage myself, it was important that I didn’t go to some big management company,” she said in a 2013 interview.

“I felt like I wanted to follow the footsteps of Madonna and be a powerhouse and have my own empire and show other women when you get to this point in your career you don’t have to go sign with someone else and share your money and your success—you do it yourself.”

While Beyoncé has expanded into other businesses such as hair care brand Cécred, whiskey brand SirDavis and fashion label Ivy Park, most of her wealth still comes from music. She owns the rights to her catalog and earns heavily from stadium tours.

The Cowboy Carter Tour was a massive production, involving more than 350 crew members, 100 trucks of equipment and eight cargo planes. The shows featured elaborate stage designs, including a flying car, robotic arms, a mechanical bull and guest appearances from her husband Jay-Z, her children and former Destiny’s Child bandmates.

Beyond touring, Beyoncé also earned major income from special performances and endorsements. She reportedly made about $50 million from a Christmas Day NFL halftime show streamed on Netflix and another $10 million from Levi’s commercials tied to her Western-themed album era.

In total, Forbes estimates that Beyoncé earned $148 million in 2025 before tax, making her the third highest-paid musician in the world that year.

Despite strong singles like “Texas Hold ’Em,” data from Luminate shows that her overall album-equivalent sales in 2025 were lower than some other global pop stars. Still, industry experts note that touring now makes up more than 75 percent of top artists’ income.

Beyoncé has long been known for turning her music releases into major cultural events, from her surprise 2013 album Beyoncé to the Lemonade visual album and her 2018 Coachella performance, which later became a Netflix documentary reportedly worth $60 million.

In rare recent interviews, Beyoncé has said that Renaissance and Cowboy Carter are part of a trilogy of albums across different genres. Fans are now waiting to see what direction she will take next.

She also made it clear that family comes first.

“I have made an extreme effort to stay true to my boundaries and protect myself and my family,” she said earlier this year.

“No amount of money is worth my peace.”
