United States billionaire and owner of social media platform X, Elon Musk, has apologised to users over the frustrations caused by the platform’s algorithm in the last 24 hours.

Musk made the apology in a post on Friday, saying his team was working hard to resolve the issue.

“My apologies for frustrations with the algorithm. We are working hard to fix the problem,” he wrote on X.

His apology followed complaints from several X users and crypto platforms about the platform’s algorithmic malfunction.

Coinbase, the largest crypto exchange in the United States, had earlier expressed its frustration, posting, “My employment depends on it.”

Pudgy Penguins, a popular NFT platform, also joined in, pleading, “Elon, can you please make the algorithm show us more penguins?”

Other crypto figures such as Crypto Bitlord, Bark, and The Kobeissi Letter also commented on the issue, with some suggesting that Musk introduce user feedback panels and AI tags for better content moderation.

Musk, who is widely followed within the crypto community for his vocal support of Bitcoin and other digital assets, assured users that the technical fault was being handled.
