The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency has introduced an online system for drug integrity testing and visa clearance to improve efficiency and curb substance abuse across Nigeria.

The new platform, called the Drug Integrity Test and Visa E-Administration System, was launched on Tuesday at a press conference in Abuja.

NDLEA Chairman, Brigadier General Mohamed Buba Marwa (Rtd), represented by the agency’s secretary Shadrach Haruna, said the portal marks a major step in digitizing services and promoting transparency.

He explained that applicants can now log on to [www.drugandvisa.ndlea.gov.ng](http://www.drugandvisa.ndlea.gov.ng) to create an account, apply, and book appointments for tests or visa clearance from any location. The system will generate test certificates instantly and complete visa clearance within three to seven days.

According to Marwa, the platform also allows accredited private medical centres to partner with the agency for drug testing. It eliminates falsification of certificates and reduces human interference in the process.

He added that the agency’s goal is to promote prevention rather than punishment, as the test serves as an early warning system to help individuals struggling with substance use before it becomes an addiction.

Marwa urged institutions, organizations, and individuals, including parents and prospective couples, to use the portal, noting that it supports NDLEA’s broader plan to digitize operations and enhance the national fight against drug abuse.
