The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria has rolled out a detailed timetable for the 2026 Hajj, warning intending pilgrims, state boards, and licensed tour operators to strictly follow the deadlines to avoid disruptions in the exercise.

In a statement released on Friday on its official X account, the commission explained that preparations would officially begin in November 2025 with the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding with Saudi Arabian authorities.

NAHCON said all payments for camp bookings and confirmation of service contract packages must be completed by January 4, 2026. By February 1, 2026, all transport and accommodation contracts are expected to be uploaded on the Nusuk Masar portal.

The commission also fixed October 8, 2025, as the deadline for remittances by state boards and licensed operators to secure their slots for the pilgrimage.

Highlighting the importance of compliance, the commission stressed that the final date for visa issuance is March 20, 2026, adding that no extensions would be granted under any circumstances.

“These timelines are non-negotiable. All stakeholders must ensure early compliance to guarantee a smooth and hitch-free Hajj for Nigerian pilgrims,” the statement read.

Observers noted that with the growing global demand for Hajj slots, strict adherence to the digital and logistical requirements set by Saudi authorities has made NAHCON’s schedule critical to Nigeria’s full participation in the 2026 pilgrimage.
