The member representing Uke/Karshi constituency in the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Musa Gude, has explained why he appointed 106 aides to work with him.
Speaking in Lafia on Tuesday, Gude, who is a member of the Social Democratic Party, said the move was necessary to improve service delivery and also help lift the living standards of his people.
“I want to disclose that I have 106 aides on my payroll, including special and personal assistants. Some of them receive N100,000, N80,000, N50,000, N30,000, N20,000, and N10,000, respectively,” he said.
The lawmaker described the decision as part of his commitment to inclusive leadership and economic empowerment in his constituency.
He added that beyond the appointments, he had also invested in projects to benefit his people.
“I have done my best in health, education, agriculture, infrastructure and other areas. I have also empowered many constituents to enable them to become self-reliant,” Gude said.
The legislator listed some of his projects, including the provision of several boreholes and payment of WAEC fees for many students.
He urged his constituents to embrace peace, unity, and tolerance as he promised to continue giving them quality representation at the state assembly.
