A Nigerian dancer has captured public attention as she continues her bold attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the longest dance marathon by an individual.
The dancer, Oluwatosin Solaru, has already danced for over 96 hours and is aiming for a total of 150 hours — more than six days without stopping. She is hoping to surpass the current record of 127 hours set by India’s Srushti Sudhir Jagtap in June 2023.
In videos shared on her TikTok page, she regularly updates her followers on her progress, showing how many hours she has danced and how many are left. Dressed in different outfits, she has remained energetic and determined, dancing continuously to music as her supporters cheer her on both online and on-site.
Social media users have been flooding her comment section with mixed reactions, from words of encouragement to humorous takes on her effort.
One TikTok user, Fave, wrote, “Nawa ooo if una Neva tear dis Guinness book una no go rest.”
Success Chris added, “You have started well and you will end it well.”
Another user, YOUR X BOYFRIEND, said, “96 hours challenge complete, if you know you know.”
While some people questioned if she would be provided with food and water, others worried about what might happen if Guinness World Records fails to recognise her feat.
UNIQUE_STUDIO AI commented, “Hope after everything Dem no go say she no win oooo.”
Nurselavic added a prayer: “I hope there will be food and water during the race, D Lord will strengthen all of U IJN Amen.”
