The wife of popular socialite Yhemolee, Oyin Tayo, popularly known as Thayour B has taken to social media to accuse some of her staff of stealing millions of naira from her business.
In a series of online posts, the entrepreneur expressed deep disappointment as she revealed that the workers had been secretly diverting payments meant for her business into their personal bank accounts since November 2024.
“No matter how nice you are to your workers, they’ll always steal from you. They have been stealing from me since November fgs,” she wrote.
She also shared screenshots showing evidence of several transactions, with customers allegedly told to pay directly into her staff’s personal accounts instead of the official business account.
Social media users were quick to react, with many shocked by the level of betrayal. One user, macqueen_04, commented, “To think she got one of them phone oooo. Nawa.” Another user, theperfectionista_stylist, said, “Thank you for showing their faces. So people can be careful before employing them!”
Others called for serious punishment. lacashofficial_ wrote, “Put them in prison so that others will learn,” while bunmmie_mcjoseph added, “These women are someone’s aunty, mummy, wife, sister or friend. Lock them up please!”
Some users also sympathised with Thayour, noting that such actions might discourage employers from helping workers in the future.
At the time of this report, Thayour has not confirmed if she plans to take legal action against the staff involved, but many followers have urged her to report them to the police.
