Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, has said Bukayo Saka is in pain after a rough tackle during their 4-0 win over Ipswich Town on Sunday.

The match, which was played at Portman Road, saw Saka receive a dangerous challenge from behind by Ipswich’s Leif Davis. The referee showed Davis a straight red card for the foul.

After the tackle, Saka was seen on the bench with his foot wrapped in ice. This raised concerns, especially since he only recently returned from a hamstring injury that kept him out for three months.

Speaking after the game, Arteta told reporters, “I didn’t see the tackle, it was quite fast. It’s a good decision from the referee. He is in a bit of pain, but thankfully it doesn’t look anything too serious.”

Saka played an important role in Arsenal’s win over Real Madrid, which helped them reach the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League.

It is not yet clear if he will be fit for Arsenal’s next Premier League game against Crystal Palace. The Gunners will then take on Paris Saint-Germain on April 29 in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final.
