Super Eagles’ camp in Uyo, Akwa Ibom was agog on Tuesday following the arrival of Chelsea duo of Mikel John Obi, Victor Moses as well as Manchester City’s Kelechi Iheanacho.
The arrival of the trio made the number of players in camp preparing for the upcoming 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Tanzania to be twenty.
In camp as at Tuesday evening were Skipper Mikel John Obi, assistant captain Ahmed Musa, goalkeepers Emmanuel Daniel and Ikechukwu Ezenwa, defenders Musa Muhammed, Chidozie Awaziem, Abdullahi Shehu, Jamiu Alimi, Leon Balogun, William Troost-Ekong and Elderson Echiejile, midfielders Ogenyi Onazi, Wilfred Ndidi and Nosa Igiebor and forwards Brown Ideye, Imoh Ezekiel, Kelechi Iheanacho, Victor Moses, Odion Ighalo and Victor Osimhen.
According to the spokesman of the team, Toyin Ibitoye, only three invited foreign based players were yet to arrive the camp as at Tuesday night.
“Carl Ikeme, Moses Simon and Kingsley Madu will come in on Wednesday and Thursday,” Ibotoye told SuperSport.
Coach Gernot Rohr had his first training session with the team on Tuesday at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo.
WuzupNaija gathered that the training session lasted 35 minutes with the team concentrating only on light workouts and stretches.
We learnt Rohr flagged off proceedings with a short meeting with the players and backroom staff on the pitch for about five minutes.
Meanwhile, the delegation of Tanzania’s Taifa Stars is expected to arrive in Nigeria on Wednesday, while the match officials will jet in on Thursday.
Both Nigeria and Tanzania have little other than pride to battle in Saturday’s game, as Egypt’s Pharaohs have already picked the lone ticket from the group to Gabon.

Rohr will use the match to set the tone ahead of the crucial 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifier against Zambia in Ndola on 8th October, 2016.
The Eagles will miss the 2017 AFCON for the second successive time after failing to defeat the pharaohs of Egypt in the two matches played in March.
The withdrawal of neighbouring country Chad meant that only the top team could qualify from the group, dashing Tanzania and Nigeria’s hope of sneaking in as one of the best second placed teams.
