Nigerian artist Tekno real name Augustine Miles Kelechi Okechukwu, known for his hit songs and energetic performances, was reportedly seen collapsing during a tour in South Africa, according to a viral video circulating online.

The cause of the collapse remains unknown, but the video shows a man being carried off stage, sparking concern among fans.

However, many people have quickly debunked the claim that Tekno collapsed. Singer Mr Eazi took to social media to clarify the situation, saying, “Lmao Tekno when dey Malabo.”

Also, other comments on social media corroborated that Tekno is in Malabo, not South Africa when the incident allegedly occurred.

Further adding to the confusion, it was revealed by some social media users that the video in question was actually taken during an event in Kenya and that the person seen collapsing was Kenyan rapper Prezzo, not Tekno.

Reactions on social media have been mixed. One user, Joshua Olusegun, tweeted, “Tekno is reportedly in Malabo. Who are we believing?”

Another user, Knitan, added, “No be Tekno oga….. Mr Eazi said it’s not him.”

While Falcon shared well wishes, tweeting, “Wish him quick recovery.” However, not everyone was convinced.

Ejike stated, “It’s not him,” and Uncle D urged people to “Stop the fake news man. That’s not Tekno.”

The discussion even included comments about Tekno’s past health issues. One user, Mr Me, mentioned, “Tekno smokes a lot though,” while Tenonzy Official offered support, tweeting, “Divine healing.”

The ‘Pana’ crooner has a history of health issues, including Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease, which has previously affected his ability to perform. In 2019, he underwent surgery to address complications from the condition.
