The All Progressives Congress Chairman in Oyo State, Hon. Isaac Omodewu, has passed away at the age of 61. Omodewu reportedly died in the United States on Sunday, August 16, 2024.
Details about the cause of his death remain unclear, but there have been ongoing speculations about his health within the party.
It was reported that Omodewu had been critically ill and was admitted to a hospital in the United States late last year.
The APC Publicity Secretary in Oyo State, Wale Sadare, confirmed Omodewu’s death during a telephone conversation with Channels Television on Monday.
According to Sadare, “Omodewu died in the early hours of Sunday at the age of 61.” He added that the deceased had been receiving treatment for an undisclosed illness in the U.S. but eventually lost the battle.
Sadare also mentioned that the family is yet to finalize the burial plans for Omodewu.
