The elder brother of the famous Nigerian music duo P-Square, Jude ‘Engees’ Okoye, is set to share his side of the story in a family controversy that has captured public attention.
Jude announced that he would be addressing the issue at 7 p.m. on Saturday in a live broadcast.
The controversy escalated after Peter Okoye, one half of P-Square, made serious allegations against Jude.
Peter accused Jude of financial misconduct, claiming that he had been diverting millions of naira from their joint accounts through a secret company called Northside Music.
According to Peter, this diversion of funds, which were meant for P-Square, had been happening for years and has caused significant tension between the brothers.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission got involved in the matter after Peter filed a petition against Jude. Peter stated, “Jude was detained for questioning regarding these financial allegations, and his bank accounts were subsequently frozen.” This development has added more fuel to the already heated situation.
Peter also clarified that his twin brother, Paul Okoye, was not the target of his petition.
He explained that Paul was only questioned because of his financial dealings with Jude. However, this has led to confusion and further disputes within the family, as Paul expressed anger over Peter’s actions.
