A Senior Secondary School student from Delta State, Iveose Ifoma, has made her musical debut with an album titled ‘Hello Daddy’ dedicated to honoring respected fathers in society.

Iveose, who goes by the stage name ‘Lilly Wonder,’ aspires to follow in the footsteps of Nigerian music icon Onyeka Onwenu, despite never having met her.

According to the PUNCH, Ifoma while speaking on Tuesday in Warri, expressed her admiration for Onwenu’s work, describing herself as “another Onyeka Onwenu in the making.”

Her debut album, ‘ Hello Daddy’ features songs that tackle contemporary themes. The tracks include “Education, the Best Legacy,” “My New Heaven,” “Rooney, my Friend,” and “Abome,” the latter featuring lyrics in her native Isoko language.

Hailing from Ofagbe community in Isoko North Local Government Area, Ifoma recently completed her Senior Secondary School education at Real Delight Model School, finishing with impressive results: B grades in English, Mathematics, and Physics; and A grades in Marketing, Chemistry, and Biology. Despite her academic success, the 15-year-old, who will celebrate her birthday on October 24, has decided to focus on her music and fashion design careers for now, rather than immediately pursuing higher education.

Ifoma plans to tour various local government areas in Delta State, starting with Sapele, to showcase her talents and inspire other young people to discover and develop their own hidden abilities.

Looking to the future, she expressed an interest in pursuing a career in nursing due to her passion for helping others

“All things being equal, I’m interested in going for nursing as a career later, given my passion for helping humanity,” she said.

Ifoma also credited her mother, a former local government council chairmanship aspirant in Sapele, Hon. Efe Edema, for her guidance and support.

“Mummy is my mentor and best friend,” she said, expressing gratitude for her mother’s role.
