The father of late singer Mohbad, Joseph Aloba, has said that he will continue to seek justice for his son despite the result of the autopsy released earlier.

Aloba, who was a guest on the AriseTV morning show on Friday, alongside a friend from the family, Aluko Olurin, reiterated that he would not accept the result of the autopsy conducted by the Lagos state government because there were lots of controversies surrounding his death.

Recall that last month, the Lawyer representing the family of the singer, Wahab Shittu SAN, stated that the cause of his death couldn’t be determined, referencing the statement of the coroner in court.

However, earlier this month another autopsy result stated that drug reactions could have been the possible cause of death.

Speaking on the show, he said, “There were lots of issues surrounding my son’s death; before his death, he told me about some people that were threatening him, and I told him that we should go and see one of the chiefs in Ikorodu so that they can help us to warn them, but he never had the chance to come over.

“We suspect that his death is not natural, that is why we are demanding a private autopsy to be done.

“Even if it takes more than a year, I will fight for my son, especially about the facts about the cause of his death.

“I am standing up to get justice for my son.”

Mohbad, a 27-year-old artist formerly signed to Naira Marley’s record label, Marlian Music, passed away on September 12, 2023, under controversial circumstances that sparked many viral online debates.
