NECO announces digitalization of recruitment process for supervisors

The National Examinations Council has announced the digitalised of recruitment process for examination supervisors and assistant supervisors for the Basic Education Certificate Examination and the Senior School Certificate Examination.

The Council said its decision to transition to a digitalised recruitment process for examination supervisors and assistant supervisors is to address sharp practices.

According to the PUNCH, a statement shared by the council stated “The National Examinations Council has digitalised the recruitment process for examination supervisors and assistant supervisors for the Basic Education Certificate Examination and the Senior School Certificate Examination Internal and External.

“The digitalisation is to check sharp practices in the recruitment process and to enhance efficiency and effective service delivery.

“The digitalisation process, which involves migration from the manual recruitment of supervisors and assistant supervisors to the online system, will ensure that supervisors’ nomination forms, appointment letters, and supervisors’ e-photo albums are generated online.”

Also, routine swapping of supervisors and assistant supervisors during the examination would be done online.

NECO, therefore, called for applications as supervisors from eligible interested qualified teachers with NCE, degree certificates, master degrees, PhD, and Professors for its BECE and SSCE, internal and external.
