Popular Female Singer Simisola Bolatito Ogunleye, who goes by the stage name ‘Simi,’ has said that she never wanted to marry a singer when she met her husband.
Simi shared this in an interview with CNN, stating that she didn’t know AdekunleGold was trying to be a singer when she met him.
She said, “I didn’t know he was trying to be a singer like I made a choice; I said I could never date someone in the industry.
“When I met him, he was working for some company, and people knew him as the king of Photoshop; I didn’t know he was trying to be a singer.
“One thing that has helped us is that we are always in the same space.
‘We are both very respectful of each other’s crafts and opinions.”
Simi and AdekunleGold dated for 5 years, married in January 2019, and gave birth to their child, Adejare, in 2020.
