Newly-appointed Nasarawa high court judge dies after brief illness
A recently appointed judge of the Nasarawa State High Court of Justice, Justice Tanze Benjamin Makama, passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, after a brief illness. Justice Makama had assumed the role of a judge on December 29, 2023.
The news of his sudden demise has left the legal community in sorrow, with the Keffi branch of the Nigerian Bar Association expressing their condolences.
Chairman of the NBA Keffi branch, Nuhu J. Egya, described Justice Makama’s death as an irreparable loss.
In a statement, Egya conveyed the association’s sympathy to the family of the deceased, offering prayers for them to find the strength to bear the loss.
The NBA also extended their condolences to the Chief Judge of Nasarawa State, Justice Aisha Bashir-Aliyu, and the entire judiciary.
