HOMICIDE! JTF officers on routine raid kill mother and her baby in Bayelsa [Photos]
Officials of the military joint task force have been accused of killing a mother and her baby during a routine raid in Ben ama and Tengele ama communities, Oluasiri clan in Nembe local government area of Bayelsa State.
The sad incident which reportedly occurred in the early hours of Thursday morning left about four persons dead with several others injured.
The nursing mother was reportedly killed after bullets pierced through the baby from the back.
The villagers, who are now counting their losses said the JTF raid lasted for about 8 hours.
The reason for the raid is yet to be determined and security officials are yet to respond to the incident.
