AFCON: Super Eagles beat host Cote d’Ivoire 1-0
The Super Eagles of Nigeria have defeated the Elephants of Ivory Coast in their second game at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations.
A second-half penalty from William Troost-Ekong was the sole difference as Nigeria beat the host country at the Olympic Stadium Ebimpe, Abidjan, on Thursday.

After a VAR review, Nigeria is awarded a penalty, that was converted by William Troost-Ekong who confidently placed it past Yahia Fofana into the heart of the goal.
Nigeria now sits second in the group with 4 points behind leader Equatorial Guinea.
