Soul singer ‘Michael Bolton’ diagnosed with brain tumor
Renowned pop singer Michael Bolton, famous for his hits in the 80s and 90s, shared a health update on social media, disclosing that he was diagnosed with a brain tumor, which led to immediate surgery just before the 2023 holiday season.
In a Facebook post, the Grammy-winning artist, aged 70, expressed gratitude for his medical team and shared, “Just before the holidays, it was discovered that I had a brain tumor, which required immediate surgery. Thanks to my incredible medical team, the surgery was a success.”
Bolton is now recovering at home, surrounded by the love and support of his family.
Acknowledging the unexpected challenges posed by his health issue, he assured fans, “I am now recuperating at home and surrounded by the tremendous love and support of my family.”
Despite the seriousness of a brain tumor and the subsequent surgery, Bolton remains optimistic about his recovery.
However, he announced a temporary break from touring to focus on recuperation, stating, “For the next couple of months, I will be devoting my time and energy to my recovery, which means I’ll have to take a temporary break from touring.”
The singer expressed understanding for the potential disappointment among his fans due to postponed shows but emphasized his commitment to returning to the stage soon.
He conveyed his gratitude to fans for their love and support over the years.
Bolton, who has sold over 75 million records worldwide, concluded his message by assuring fans, “Know that I’m keeping your positive messages in my heart, and I’ll give you more updates as soon as I can.”
Last year, Bolton released “Spark of Light,” his first album of original songs co-written by him in almost 15 years.
