Ondo lawyer alleges documents forgery by Akeredolu’s aides
A senior lawyer has dropped a bombshell on Ondo State, alleging that some government officials are signing documents on behalf of the ailing Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, raising questions about leadership and transparency.
While featuring on Arise Television, Kayode Ajulo made the shocking claim that five commissioners submitted memos receiving approval with signatures bearing “notable disparities” compared to the governor’s healthy days.
Ajulo, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, further stated that Deputy Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa lacks the constitutional power to assume leadership, creating a vacuum that “cabales have hijacked.”
“I have it on good authority as a lawyer. Some of the commissioners, about five of them, sent memos to the governor, and they all returned with approval.
“Going through the approval compared to what the governor had approved when he was hail and hearty, there are notable disparities in them.
“The Police and Administration of Justice Act have made it clear that there can be private investigators who have been contacted because of the issue, and their results are so damning. In fact, EFCC needs to visit Ondo State to ask some questions.
“The purported signature is not from the governor. It is so apparent,” he said.
These accusations come amidst growing anxieties about Akeredolu’s health and the state’s governance.
