Lobi Stars returned to the top of the Nigeria Premier Football League table on Monday after defeating Bayelsa United 2-1 away in Yenagoa.
Samuel Tiza scored twice for Lobi Stars, with his opening goal coming a minute before half-time.
Robert Mizo equalized for Bayelsa United three minutes before the break, but Tiza struck again in the 67th minute to give Lobi Stars the victory.
The win moves Lobi Stars to 14 points from seven games, one point ahead of second-placed Enugu Rangers.
Lobi Stars will now play Shooting Stars in its next fixture on the 26th of November after its match against Eyimba was postponed while Rangers will host Katsina United on the 12th of October.
