Ndidi ruled out of World Cup qualifiers with injury

Super Eagles and Leicester midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi, will miss his Nigeria’s upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifiers due to injury.

Leicester City manager Enzo Maresca revealed on Thursday that Ndidi is suffering from a muscular problem and will be out until the international break.

Wilf will be out until the international break. It is also a muscular problem.

“It’s a small thing but when the problem is muscular, even if it’s small, it’s always one week or two weeks because we don’t want to take any risks,” he said.

Other Nigerian players who are also ruled out of the qualifiers include striker Victor Osimhen and defenders Semi Ajayi and Bruno Onyemaechi.

The Super Eagles will host Lesotho on Friday, November 17, and travel to Zimbabwe for their second match three days later.
