Mohbad: Reps observes a moment silence, vows to monitor probe
The House of Representatives on Tuesday observed a one-minute silence to honour the late Afrobeat singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.
The minute silence was held following a motion of urgent public importance moved by the lawmaker representing Ikorodu Federal Constituency, Babajimi Benson.
Mr Benson told the House that the House needs to be concerned about the death of the artiste because of the circumstances surrounding his death.
He pointed out that the singer suffered bullying and harassment from his record label over a dispute on contract.
The lawmaker then prayed the House to review the Copy Rights law to prevent the exploitation of artists by record labels.
The motion was carried by the House and the minute silence was observed to honour the late singer.
