Police confirm arrest of two suspected kidnappers in Bayelsa
Operatives of Sagbama Divisional Police Station says two suspected kidnappers were apprehended with the aid of able bodied youths and a vigilance group in Adagbabiri community in Bayelsa State.
This was contained in a statement on Saturday by the spokesperson of the command, SP Asinmi Butswait.
The suspects were Odulima Igbogiri of Okogbie community and Moses Joshua of Ahoada Town, both in Ahoada West LGA of Rivers.
The Police spokesperson disclosed that they were both arrested at Adagbabiri while planning to kidnap a resident of the community.
According to him, the suspects allegedly stabbed two policemen and one of the community youths while resisting arrest.
He, however, said the injured officers were responding to treatment at the Sagbama General hospital.
