Unknown gunmen have abducted Ebinyon, father of the chairman of Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, Chief Gbalipre Turner.
His abduction took place about 11pm on Sunday when the armed gang whisked him away from his residence around the Samphino Road in the Kpansia Area of the state capital, Yenagoa.
The incident was confirmed by Spokesman for the State Police Command, Asinim Butswat.
Butswat said police detectives had chased Turner’s abductors to Onuebum waterfront, also in Ogbia Council Area, but they escaped with the victim via a speedboat.
