Four killed in Delta cult war over money sharing formular
Four people have reportedly been killed in a renewed cult war in the polytechnic community of Ogwashi-Uku, Delta State.
The war, which was said to be between the Aye and Vikings confraternities, began five days ago.
One of the victims, Eze Uwaechie, was reportedly killed on Wednesday.
THE PUNCH reports that Uwaechie was shot dead around 10am at a joint close to his home in the Umuneze area of the community.
This is just as three other persons were killed between Saturday and Monday.
A source said that the first victim, a suspected internet fraudster, had an issue with some boys.
The source said; “After they made some money, sharing formula caused a problem and the guy was killed last week Saturday. The deceased’s friends then killed two members of the Aye group.
“That was how the killing started. From Saturday till now, five persons have been killed,” the source said.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe, stated that he was waiting for a comprehensive report on the incident from the Ogwashi-Uku Divisional Police Officer.
