VIDEO: Singer Portable donates bread, groceries to Muslim community as Ramadan begins

Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, better known as Portable, on Friday extended love to the Islamic community by donating food items in the spirit of Ramadan.

The singer was spotted in a video sharing breads and food items to Muslim faithful in Lagos.

WuzupNigeria had reported that Australian and Saudi Arabia Supreme Court on Tuesday announced that this year’s Muslim fast will commence on Saturday.

This comes after the moon of Ramadan 1443/ 2022 was sighted in Saudi Arabia and Australia.

Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar that takes place for 720 hours.

During the four weeks and two days duration, Islamic faithfuls will fast between dawn and sunset, pray for peace and guidance, give back to the community in form of charity or zakaat and engage in humanitarian activities such as feeding the underprivileged and introspect to enlighten their souls.

Aside from both countries, several nations have also announced the first day of the Islamic Holy month will commence on Saturday.

It is in the spirit of the season that Portable decided to give back to the community.

The controversial singer posted the video clips via his Instagram post.

He tagged the video, “ZAzuu dey show love ❤️ Bizza Bizza Allah is great. It’s fasting time … let’s show love ❤️”
