Europa: West Ham get Sevilla, Barca face Galatasaray in last 16

After a dominant 4-2 (5-3 on aggregate) thumping of Napoli at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium on Thursday night, Barcelona have been drawn against the Turkish side, Galatasaray, in the Round of 16.

The draw which took place in Nyon, Switzerland, on Friday morning also saw Premier League side West Ham pitted against Sevilla while

RB Leipzig will take on Russian club Spartak Moscow while FC Porto will slug it out with the French side, Lyon.

At this stage of the competition, clubs from the same association still cannot play each other, while the Europa League group winners were all seeded and will play the second leg at home.

Following a 2-2 draw (6-4 aggregate) at Ibrox on Thursday against German giants Borussia Dortmund, Rangers will face Red Star Belgrade in the last 16.

Meanwhile, Spartak Moscow will not enjoy home advantage over Leipzig in the second leg after UEFA on Friday morning declared that Russian and Ukrainian clubs still in UEFA competitions will hold their home fixtures on a neutral ground following the invasion of Ukraine.

The first and second leg clashes will hold on the 10th and 17th of March, however, Porto and Betis will play their first legs at home on Wednesday 9 March, at an earlier kick-off time of 17:45 GMT, in order to avoid clashes with Braga and Sevilla respectively, according to UK Metro.

The draws for the Europa League quarter-finals and semi-finals will take place on 18 March following the respective draws for the Champions League.
