Nigerian Idol: Simi out, Toolz in as D’Banj’s solo performance thrills audience

Fans were thrilled on Sunday night watching contestants battled to make it to the Theatre week in the episode two of the Nigerian Idol Season Seven audition.

The talent hunt reality show featured a number of ‘pros’, new entrants and hilarious bloops from the contestants.

Unfortunately, one of the judges, Simisola Ogunleye, popularly known as Simi, was not in attendance because of her illness.

The singer was replaced by On air personality, Tolu Oniru, popularly known as Toolz, who stood in for her as as a guest judge.

On air personality, Ik Osakioduwa who plays host on the show and other judges including musician, Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo a.k.a D’banj and entrepreneur, Obi Asika gave their verdicts on the performances.

Singer Simi posted a video online stating that she was not feeling well.

With the development, Toolz stood in for her to accomplish the job.

IK OSAKIODUWA ROLE AS HOST

As usual, IK Osakioduwa performed his role as host in a grand style.

TOOLZ ATTENDANCE AS GUEST JUDGE

Toolz, who is a radio presenter and Group Programme Director for Beat FM stations in Lagos, Ibadan, Port Harcourt & Abuja, joined D’banj and Obi Asika to decide which contestant gets the Golden Ticket and moves to the theatre week.

D’BANJ’S FUNNY REMARKS

With a whole load of energy, ‘The koko master’, D’banj, performed with great delight throughout the audition.

OBI ASIKA’S PERFORMANCE

Meanwhile, Obi Asika has been performing his considerable role of a Judge on the popular reality show and he did not disappoint.
