Three years after, court acquits man accused of rape in Ekiti
An Ekiti State High Court sitting in Ado Ekiti on Monday discharged and acquitted one Adekunle Samson of the charges of rape which he was being tried for.
The 33-year-old defendant was arraigned before the court on 5th of November, 2019 on a charge of rape.
The charge reads, “Adekunle Samson on the 25th of April, 2018, at Ise Ekiti did rape one Aguda Yemi, contrary to Section 358 of the Criminal Code Law, CAP. C16, Law of EKiti State, 2012.”
To prove his case, the prosecutor, Richard Olowoyo, called three witnesses and tendered medical report and a cutlass as exhibit.
