Nigerian comedian, Freedom Atsepoyi, popularly known as Mr Jollof has urged Christians against giving their first salary of the year to their pastors.

According to Mr Jollof, it is better to give ones parent the money rather than give a pastor.

He made the statement in an Instagram post on Tuesday.

In a viral video he was heard saying; “This is a message to you people, don’t give any pastor your first salary.

“Go and give it to your father and mother, that should be your covenant that your first salary of the year you gave it to your father and mother if you want to sew your seed

“If it will inconvenience you, use your money because January na five weeks, December you give your papa and mama money,” he said in parts.
