Gunmen abduct Delta church overseer, kill wife
Unknown gunmen have kidnapped the General Overseer of Faith Fasting and Prayer Ministry, Prophet Jay Jay Enejeta, and killed his wife, Pastor Mrs Faith, in Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State.
Enejeta, who was behind the steering on their way home in the family’s Lexus SUV, was whisked away by the assailants.
Report said that the incident occurred on Thursday evening, barely 48 days to the New Year when the young couple was approaching their residence in the University town.
Eyewitnesses said that the prophet was driving home with his wife and a sister-in-law when the gunmen ambushed them and opened fire on the vehicle.
Pellets from the unidentified gunmen reportedly pierced through the window of the front passenger seat of the vehicle and hit the wife in her neck, killing her on the spot.
The sister-in-law who was also hit by pellets is lying critically in a private hospital in the town.
When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer for Delta State Command, DSP Bright Edafe, confirmed the incident, saying that the police were on the trail of the hoodlums.
