THE OPERATION LASTED FOR OVER AN HOUR! Armed robbers attack Union Bank in Ekiti, kill policeman and a staff
Daredevil armed robbers on Tuesday attacked Union bank in Ilawe-Ekiti, Ekiti State.
The armed robbers, who reportedly killed a policeman and a bank staff also shot another bank worker in the arm.
Reports said the robbers stormed the bank which is located close to the Alawe’s Palace, around 2:45 pm and operated unhindered for over an hour.
The robbers reportedly gain entrance into the bank after they blasted the security door open with dynamite.
It was gathered that the dynamite also blew up a blue colour Toyota Camry car parked inside the bank’s premises.
The robbers reportedly carted away an undisclosed amount of money.
Meanwhile, Ilawe robbery attack happened barely a month after an old generation bank was attacked in Ifaki-Ekiti.
During the operation, a police inspector was also killed by the armed robbers.
