Joe Biden, Obama, Pope Francis, others pay tribute to Desmond Tutu
Tributes have been pouring in since the demise of the anti-apartheid leader, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, who died on Sunday aged 90.
Prominent leaders around the world like US President Joe Biden, Pope Francis, U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris, Thabo Makgoba, Archbishop of Cape Town, Nelson Mandela Foundation, Former United States President, Barack Obama and many others have all reacted to his demise.
In a report gathered by REUTERS on Sunday, US President Joe Biden and his wife, First Lady Jill Biden said; “On this morning after Christmas, we are heartbroken to learn of the passing of a true servant of God and of the people, Archbishop Desmond Tutu of South Africa.”
“His courage and moral clarity helped inspire our commitment to change American policy toward the repressive Apartheid regime in South Africa.”
