Gunmen suspected to be assassins on Saturday shot dead an All Progressives Congress chairmanship candidate, Jeremiah Ogboveta in Delta State.
Politics Nigeria reports that Ogboveta was the chairmanship candidate for Jeremi Ward III in Ughelli South Local Government Area of the state.
Security agencies confirmed that the tragic incident happened earlier today.
