Gallant police officers have arrested an 11-man car snatching syndicate operating in Anambra State.
This was made known on Wednesday when the state’s commissioner of police, Mr Garba Umar, paraded the suspects before journalists at the command’s headquarters.
Umar said police officers recovered 11 exotic cars snatched at different locations at gunpoint from the suspects.
He said the recovered cars which include Lexus, Mercedes Benz and Toyota among others were mostly sports utility vehicles.
The commissioner said the command had to redouble its efforts in protecting the lives and property of the people of the state following increasing incidences of car theft and snatching.
Others arrested for the same offence were Johnson Aerfa, Chibueze Ebenyi of Usho village, Ondo State, who was said to be the sponsor of the gang as well as Chibuike Ugwu.
He said the suspects would soon be charged to court.
