Manchester United inches closer to signing Sancho from Dortmund
Manchester United are close to agreeing on a deal with Borussia Dortmund over the signing of England international, Jadon Sancho, local media reports.
WuzupNigeria reported that the former Manchester City star and his camp had previously agreed on personal terms with the Old Trafford outfit, leaving Dortmund as the only obstacle.
Although talks fell through between both teams last summer, Sky Sports reported on Friday that a proposed deal for the England winger is worth in the region of £77m and both clubs are close to finalising the payment structure and potential add-ons.
Popular Italian journalist, Fabrizio Romano, also reported that the agreement for the winger “‘really close’, final details expected to be completed in the next few days and then Jadon will join Manchester United.”
According to reports, the Bundesliga side who initially wanted an upfront payment of around £85m while, a £77m fee would be more than £30m less than the £108m valuation Dortmund placed on Sancho last summer.
Sancho rose through Watford’s academy before signing for City in 2015 where he spent two years before moving to the Signal Iduna Park where he established himself as a key player, scoring 50 goals in 137 appearances for the German club.
