Number of fatalities unknown as gunmen attack Enugu police station
Unknown Gunmen, on Wednesday morning, attacked the Adani Police Divisional headquarters in Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area of Enugu State.
The attack comes about 24 hours after a similar raid on a Police Zonal Headquarters, Zone 13 in Ukpo, Anambra State.
Although the state police command confirmed the attack, it said the details would be made available later.
The attack on the police station started at about 2:30 am and lasted till about 3:30 am.
The Commander, Nsukka Area Command, Mr Hassan Yahaya, confirmed the attack, saying: “Yes, there was an attack on Adani police division on early Wednesday morning.
“I am there now to see things for myself, the access level of destruction and known casualties.
The Commander also said he was already in Adani to see things for himself.
It was learnt that security infrastructure in the station were razed.
