Nigerian Ikenna and his Thai girlfriend Nantana allegedly dealt cocaine across the country.

Thailand authorities have arrested a 36-year-old Nigerian, Michael “Mark” Ikenna, for allegedly dealing cocaine across the country.

Ikenna was arrested alongside his Thai girlfriend, Nantana Chiewpanitch, 25, when undercover police officers in a sting operation arranged to buy 10 grams of cocaine from him in Takhiantia on March 26.

The Nigerian was arrested outside his house in Takhiantia house. Narcotics police arrested the girlfriend inside the apartment but she denied involvement in drug peddling, saying she has only known Ikenna for a few months and worked in a call centre in Bangkok.

Investigators then searched their apartment in Bangkok where they recovered nearly a gram of cocaine and hundreds of plastic bags police said were used to package drugs for sale in Bangkok, the East and Central regions.

Officers reportedly seized 9.8 grams of the substance from him.

Police seized more than half a million baht in property from Ikenna, including his Toyota Altis and two mobile phones.
